Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Our registered Psychotherapist is ready to support you in recognizing stuck points that are preventing you from living a more meaningful and fulfilling life. We utilize a client-centered approach unique to individual needs and work towards creating a strong therapeutic alliance, in a safe and nurturing environment. All sessions will take a collaborative approach and will integrate evidence-based practices.

Note: Please check with your insurance company if you would like to see if psychotherapy sessions are covered. Direct billing is only available for plans with Green Shield and Blue Cross.

What to expect during your visit
During the initial psychotherapy session, you can expect to work with the therapist to explore your presenting concerns, mental and/or physical health history, past traumas, relationships, as well as other areas of your life that may be impacting your wellness. You will have the space to share at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Closer to the end of the session, you and therapist will work together to set therapeutic goals which will be worked on in subsequent sessions.

Based on your personal goals, you can expect to develop multiple skills and strategies to support your well-being. You will also develop greater awareness that will aid in recognizing any areas that may be holding you back. Your goals may change as your life and mental health evolves over time; therefore, the counsellor will check in with you to re-evaluate your goals as needed.

The frequency of the therapy sessions will depend on your concerns and can be explored during initial consultation or counselling session. Homework or take-home worksheets may be provided between sessions to further support your mental health journey.

Sometimes in life, we encounter challenges that test our resilience - whether it’s grappling with anxiety or depression, mourning a loss, or facing relationship issues. If this has been your current experience, I want to first acknowledge your strength and bravery in recognizing the need for change and seeking help. Secondly, I’d like you to know that support is available, & I am here to walk the walk with you. Therapy is more than talking. It’s about understanding, evolving, and healing. In my work, I am committed to creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. In addition to a compassionate and collaborative approach, I deeply believe in the power of building a strong therapeutic alliance. So when working together, you can expect an open, judgement-free zone where we navigate your thoughts, feelings, and emotions as a team.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the way our minds work. During my first year at university, I stumbled on a psychology course and it just clicked – this was my path. I’ve since been driven by a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals discover their inner strength and resilience. Fast forward to the present day, and I feel truly privileged every time I witness those “aha!” moments, where clients find renewed purpose and clarity in their lives.

Outside the therapy room, you might find me dancing to a beat, reading a good book, or simply soaking up the beauty of nature. Music, dancing, and the arts are my soul food. Nature, to me, is a sanctuary, whether I’m taking a serene walk, meditating, or finding my balance with yoga. And, of course, I love a good social event and enjoy connecting with diverse communities.

Life’s challenges can be daunting, but with the right support, they become journeys of growth. If therapy has crossed your mind and something in this profile has resonated with you, please reach out to schedule a free consultation. I’m here to support you and hope we have the opportunity to connect soon.
